The MeterM8 test instruments have been developed to ensure

STANDARDS

BS EN 61010 - The accepted International safety standard requirement for Electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use, which includes Test equipment, Clamp Meters and Digital Multi Meters.

HSE GS38 - States that the unit must have an overload fusing system and probes are insulated with metal tip protrusion of 2mm or on specialised tips not exceeding 4mm surface area. This is to reduce risk of arcing when testing on a live circuit and when contact points are close together.

IEC EN 61243-3 - This standard was introduced in July 2004. Units manufactured after this date must comply. The standard in simplistic terms states that the units have to be a two handed operation thereby insulating the user.

WARRANTY
All MeterM8 products comply with the relevant BS and EN standards and are also CE certified (This certification is available on request). MeterM8 products carry a one year functional warranty.
